We would like to invite you to join the Alpha Course, a seven-week course that begins January, 9th2005. Alpha is a short, practical introduction to the Christian faith. Although it is being offered at St. Thomas Episcopal Church it is a non-denominational course that gives you an opportunity to explore questions like “Who is Jesus”, “Why did Jesus die?”, “Why and how should I read the Bible?’, “How can I be sure of my faith?” and many other questions that we have from time to time. It is offered in Anglican, Roman Catholic, Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Pentecostal and many other Christian denominations. It is offered for all ages from teens (we are adding a course for teens this session) through adult. Everyone is welcome: people who have no faith, people questioning their faith, some that want to investigate what happens after death and some that want to brush up on the basics of the Christian faith. There are over 5000 courses being taught with over 1,000,000 people having taken the course in America and Canada.

Each evening begins with a free delicious supper at 5:00 p.m. What a deal - you don‘t have to cook on Sunday evening and it is free. After the supper there will be a talk, and the evening ends with an opportunity to meet in small groups to discuss and study the talks. The teen course has a different agenda but is basically covering the same material. This is our sixth course and it is a fun, filled with fellowship and information, evening. Quotes like “Do we have to end?“, “It brought my faith to a new level“, “I didn’t know that Christianity could be so much fun” are heard after each course. All meetings will take place on Sundays at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 5400 Belle Terre Parkway. There will be babysitters provided for free. Come and see what it is all about. You are under no obligation. If you are interested, please call the church at 386-446-2300. Hope to see you there.
